Bad preview of Chapters - when more alternates of movie

Hi,

Emby Server on QNAP version 4.6.0.7

Emby Client on nVidia Shield (2017) version 8.2.1 with Emby version 1.8.56g

Movie with more versions = theatrical and 3D.SBS

bad preview of chapters, always showed only preview of one version of movie, not the second when i selected it via combobox in Emby Client

two "bif" files was created

this problem is on Emby Server too

Hi.  This is a known limitation of the entire system at this time.  There is only one set of chapter items for any given item.

Why then are there two "bif" (and "nfo") files if Emby use only one set of chapter items?

Because those are used for things other than chapters.  The chapter functionality was just designed before there was multi-version functionality and it is designed for different qualities of the same item as opposed to different cuts so they don't really mesh in that way right now. Hopefully, it will be improved in the future.
