Restore device session state

Is it possible to do the following?

1. Have a device playing a playlist <i can do this>
2. Get the current session state  <i can do this>
3. send a command to play something else  <i can do this>
4. return the device to the previous session state without interrupting the playlist as it was, in the middle of an item. <don't know how to do this>

I see StartPositionTicks, but that appears to be for the current item and not a playlist position.

Hi, not currently no. You could restore what was playing, but not the entire play queue.
