adamthayer 1 Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 I noticed with the latest update to the server, you can no longer group by collections within the main Movies view. For example, currently it shows: Star Wars Episode 1 Star Wars Episode 2 Star Wars Episode 3 All in the main "Movies" view, whereas before it would group them and only show: Star Wars Collection Which I could then click on to see the actual movies. The "Collections" tabs till works as expected, but it greatly reduced the clutter in my main movie library being able to group the movies together (Star Wars, for example, has 12 movies in one collection). Am I just missing how to set this back up? Or has it been removed?
JefferyH 0 Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 I just noticed this also in the Theater windows client. Browsing in the web version it's still there. Also the Year option is missing too.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 This is a per client option per library. 2 minutes ago, JefferyH said: I just noticed this also in the Theater windows client. JefferyH 0 Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 The option is missing when using the Windows Emby Theater client. Server version: 4.5.3.0 Emby Theater 3.0.11 Thanks.

adamthayer 1 Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 I checked, and I do still have the option in Emby Theater and Emby for Roku, it looks like it's just on web access.

Samuel911 1 Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 I have lost the option as well to group movies by collection, or to display the year. Using the Server version 4.5.2.0 and Emby Theater 3.0.11 I still have the options for the year and collections on android. In Movies, I select the three dots and the only option I have is Title. It seems this problem occurred within the last few hours.
Luke 42083 Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Thanks for reporting. We'll take a look.
Samuel911 1 Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 I dont know what happened, but my movie collections are back, however the option to select or deselect collections or year is still missing. So, I do not have the ability turn the collections off. This may seem cookoo, but since this technical problem began, I kind of liked not having them group together in the movies folder. Now I dont have the option to remove it.
adamthayer 1 Posted December 12, 2020 Author Posted December 12, 2020 I'm not actually sure what happened either, but I now have full access to group by year/group in collections/etc. Might have just been a hiccup?

Samuel911 1 Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Thanks "Adamthayer" for posting. I just reset the webpage again today and there it is, working as normal. I tried resetting several times previously with no fix. I guess my pc had Covid. Well, thanks everyone for the help. As usual, you guys rock.
