homebrew iptv channels loading time using m3u for LAN on home setup

Hi Emby Devs,

i was wondering if there is a way to make the iptv playback on android tv to be as fast loading (almost instantaneous) like that on apple tv. also the possibility of when changing channels thru a remote with keypad be like that of kodi, when you press a certain channel number that we won't need to press ok.

i have a home network and have my own iptv server, channels were distributred thru m3u. it loads instantaneously on apple tv but on android tv, it takes a bit of time before the channel displays after playing it.

Hi.  Try enabling the "Direct Play Live TV" option in the app settings.

Even with that, the Apple TV MPV player tunes the channel much faster, it is almost instantaneous and even you can do timeshift in direct play.

yes i can confirm this, been comparing apple tv 4k and nvidia shield pro
