CrypticOne 0 Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 The long press contextual menu does not appear on Kindle. I tried both the current version and the beta version on the Google Play Store. The preview floats on my 'cursor' but the menu does not open. Maybe due to the lack of haptic feedback ability? Works fine on my OnePlus 8T.
Luke 42077 Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Hi ,what version of android does this run?
Luke 42077 Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 Hi, please let me know if you still see this with 3.1.69 once you have that. Thanks.
CrypticOne 0 Posted December 12, 2020 Author Posted December 12, 2020 The update did not fix the issue. Thank you
Luke 42077 Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Ok thanks for the info. We'll try to chase it down.
LeahHodges 0 Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) Reinstall, and install again. If it doesn't work then go to a center that repairs Kindles. That's why I don't like modern e-books because they have a lot of difficult features that break easily. Yes, maybe the screen is better, and it is healthier for our eyes but some people don't know what Kindle to buy because of these differences between them. I had the same struggle when I was choosing what kindle to buy. I found a site that helped me a lot. On that site, I have read a lot of statistics and statements about different Kindles and it helped me to decide what Kindle suits me. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------https://pickmyreader.com/comparison-shopping-kindle-oasis-vs-kindle-paperwhite/ Edited December 20, 2020 by LeahHodges

Luke 42077 Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Hi, what version of the Amazon system webview app do you have installed?
CrypticOne 0 Posted February 13, 2021 Author Posted February 13, 2021 I unblocked updates and it updated to version 87. Rebooted several times. Issue still there.
CrypticOne 0 Posted February 14, 2021 Author Posted February 14, 2021 And now it seems to work. Thanks again. Most have required the newer webview.
