Blank Emby Server home page in Windows 10

Hello fellow Emby users,

I am a newbie, just downloaded Emby Server for Windows and all I have is a blank home page in Windows 10 (see attached jpg). Dunno what to do about creating a library of my media files. Any help would be appreciated.

go to your dashboard and go to libraries and add one then once the first scan has completed you will have content on your home page

the initial scan can take a long time depending on the amount of items you are adding so be patient and let it finish

subsequent scans will be much quicker

Tip: go and look at the knowledge base - as it has lots of how to's etc

Yes you have to setup a media library before you will see content.

Just to be clear, to make a library you must first have a directory with some media in, which you then point Emby at by creating a library.  Emby does not provide any content - that's for you to do as it's a server for your media. 

Basically, you create a directory structure first, and then point Emby at the separate parts of it to create libraries.  As you add or move items, the libraries in Emby will follow, with a modest delay while it looks up the metadata for each item.
