x33166 0 Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 embyserver.txt Started a couple of days ago. Emby (4.5.3.0) won't identify movies. Can't manually identify as it won't bring up any results. I tried adding additional plugins but catalog won't load. Just spins.
Happy2Play 9782 Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Looks like your external connection are Timing out and you don't have TMDB or OMDB plugins installed (you can copy them from the system\plugin folder to your programdata\plugin folder). So it is still a matter of why your system can not connect to Emby servers as I would assume the plugins will have the same issue..
Luke 42080 Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Hi, yes it looks like something is blocking your server from sending outgoing communications. Typical causes of this are firewall, security software or VPN. happy2play is right though. Even if that weren't an issue, you wouldn't be able to identify movies anyway because it appears you uninstalled the plugins that are required for that. Do you have a TV library? Are you able to identify with tvdb ?
x33166 0 Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 Yes, TV library is updating. I removed TMDB and OMDB plugins and planned to reinstall as I could see they were timing out. But when I tried to access plugins catalog nothing comes up. Just spins. I just added a couple of TV episodes to make sure and Emby did identify them.
Luke 42080 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Could it be your anti-virus software? Something is blocking the emby server executable from reaching our domain: 2020-12-04 16:56:17.119 Error HttpClient: Connection to https://www.mb3admin.com/admin/service/EmbyPackages.json timed out
x33166 0 Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 (edited) I'm not running any anti-virus programs on that PC. Also, no VPN on that PC. And with TV episodes identifying, the server must be accessing outside my network. Edited December 5, 2020 by x33166 Additional info
Luke 42080 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Can you try disabling ipv6 in your router?
x33166 0 Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 I'm using Spectrum's router and I don't see an option to disable IPV6 on the app. The app is the only option to access router settings.
Luke 42080 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 You could try rebooting your router and see if that helps.
Aevaris 8 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 (edited) What happens if you try to browse to that URL in a browser on your server? (or ping/nslookup if its not a gui server) Edited December 5, 2020 by Aevaris
x33166 0 Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 I rebooted the router and the server and I was able to reinstall the plugins and I can manually identify movies but still Emby isn't auto identifying them.
x33166 0 Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 New server log embyserver 120520_1212.txt
Carlo 4561 Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) Hi, Looks like it's working OK to me looking at the logs but the logs show quite a few bad files that fail ffprobe. If you like, we could do a remote support session with you via TeamViewer and take a deeper look at this with you/together. Would you want to do this and go over a few files? x33166 0 Posted December 6, 2020 Author Posted December 6, 2020 I'm up for anything that will help fix my issue(s).
Solution Carlo 4561 Posted December 6, 2020 Solution Posted December 6, 2020 Download and install TeamViewer from www.teamviewer.com. Send me a PM with the UserID and one-time use passcode. I'll connect and open a chat.
x33166 0 Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 I rebooted my router and server and eventually it started auto-identifying. Cayars reviewed my file/folder structure for movies and provided some suggestions on making it more Emby friendly. Hopefully to avoid any further issues.
