Themoviedb episode scraper - small issue

Hello

just noticing when scraping episodes with themoviedb which contain two episodes in a single file, e.g. S01E01E02, only the first episode name and description is being fetched. That's not intended I hope? Makes searching for specific episode impossible.

That should be aggregated, at least that is like that for me in format SxxExx-Exy, i get both episode names divided by comma and both episode description summarized into one entry.

So are you sure the info you checked is coming from theMOVIEdb and not theTVdb?

The show I'm referencing to has no info on thetvdb so Emby fetches it from themoviedb

Oh, no, TVdb's my default provider. Skipped that. Too bad.

yes but here in Germany they're seperated, so from season 16 or so it is a rebrand because they changed the animation style. And that's honored by themoviedb.

Oh, I get it now. Cause I remember from wjen junior was hooked on it, it had quite renown internationally.

That particular 52-ep season is actually Season 19 on tvdb. Maybe batch rename and pull metadata, as a workaround?

yes sure but that won't solve the problem in general

and as thetvdb currently makes some questionable decisions, lots of people will switch to themoviedb probably soon...

Yes only the first episode is queried from TMDB.  Pretty sure this has been mentioned before.  @LukeIs TVDB the only provider that can do multi-episode fetching?

I'll have to check but there's a good chance that is true.

I don’t get it, why can’t you just fetch each single episode and merge them serverside?

That might be possible. It just wasn't really a concern a long time ago when this was built.
