Emby Connect

Hi - Sorry if I'm in the wrong place, but I couldn't find a forum dedicated to Emby Connect.

I'm trying to set this up.  From the Emby Connect page I click on "Sign up".  This takes me to a Sign Up or Sign in page.  I'm already signed in, but I sign in again.  That takes be back to whatever Emby page I was on before I went to the Emby Connect page.  I'm probably doing something stupid, but am clearly too stupid to know what it is!

Hi, do you already have an Emby Server setup?

If so you create your users then set the user up with OPTIONAL Emby Connect

If the user will be remote and going through the internet to access your Emby Server you will also need to setup your Emby Server for remote use

Hi, Thanks for all the info.  I've just found time to revisit this adn have now got everything set up.  I can speak to Emby Home via Google Assistant on my speakers and ask it to play music.  So far so good.  The problem I can't seem to resolve is that Emby home only offers me a choice of two playback devices:  Either the PC I'm using as a server, or one of my Android pads.  What it doesn't do and I can't find how to make it, is offer me the option of playing through my speakers/speaker groups.  It doesn't even let me play through the speaker I'm talking to, which seems odd.

I'm guessing there's another step I've missed along the way, but can't spot what it is.

At present, doesn't Emby Home and Alexa only playback Emby to devices with an active Emby software installed/running?

@Tipuana if you use remote control in the web app by clicking the cast icon in the upper right, the list of available devices should match what Emby Home and Alexa are presenting to you. Can you confirm that?
