@marcelveldt just tried the beta as suggested mate, nice that the default images are now there, but there is a problem when selecting browse to add your own image, it seems to only point to one of my optical drives and i am unable to navigate anywhere else.

Ah yes, I've heard about that. It's some weird default behaviour of Kodi.

You need to set some paths to the filemanager.

 

Just launch filemanager and add some paths you want to show up in the browse dialogs.

 

In my own case I just added the root of my drive so I can browse anywhere.

BTW: You can select this image when you go into the skin settings --> edit homescreen.

There's a list of icons to choose from.

Be sure you use the beta of the skin, this hasn't made it into the stable yet.

it doesn't actually happen on the stable skin mate, i have no problems browsing anywhere on that, only noticed it when i switched to the beta, hence i thought it was a skin issue and pointed it out, but i'll try as you suggested

I know, the beta uses the new way of browsing, apparently only that one has the strange issue.

I'll dive into it, at least now you know the workaround ;-)

Have you had a chance to push this into the beta yet? I'm pretty sure I updated but was still having the same issue of the NextPVR recording dialog not getting focus when it opens.

marceldt - this just keeps getting better and better   I have not dropped mediaportal altogether and have moved all my client systems over to Kodi with your Titan skin and MB3.

 

For movies, tv series etc this is all setup just as I want and now works as a true client-server setup.  For TV, this is coming along fast, I am still using MP Tv Service but most of the features now work in Kodi and the skin keeps adding functionality.

 

Quick Question on your EPG settings, I see we can now change the number of rows (thanks) and there is an option for use EPG Genre colours.  I have tried enabling this but there doesn't seemt o be any difference.  I do have these mapped in mediaportal and have enabled this in the TV plugin.  Has this been fully coded yet or do I need to do something else?

 

Also, how do I get tv channel logos to appear in the guide and tv OSD section when watching a channel?  Scratch that - found it, but can you only assign a logo against the channel for the bottom right, or can the logo replace the text for channel name at the left hand of the EPG?

Hi, thanks for testing the beta. I fixed the issue with nextepisodes for MB3 folder collections, will provide new beta later on.

About the missing info in the widgets (plot, poster and clearlogo is missing): this is a small error in the beta of the addon I'm afraid.

 

@@xnappo can you help me out here ? I recall you said you had to do a small change to the "getdetails" thing in the code. I tested this but I clearly missed somthing because the submenu-entries for user collections are missing info. For example a user collection tv show entry "recent episodes", "random episodes" etc are missing info like the tvshow poster, clearart and plot.

Is this a quick fix for you or do you want me to report it on github ? If you can point me in the right direction to fix it myself that also great :-)

Hi Bob, I'm doing my best to improve the skin based on user feedback.

 

About the genre colors: this should work out of the box but it depends on what PVR addon you're using in Kodi.

Maybe the MediaPortal addon doesn't support this feature yet or you're using an outdated version ?

 

You can indeed load tv channel logos into kodi from within the settings menu, that logo will be applied to sections of the skin where the logo can be used, also it will be shown in the OSD on playback. In the PVR guide view; I remember that I once created it to only display the logo and not the name but that wasn't ideal because not every logo is good recognizable from distance.

I don't really get why those nodes would show up as type 'tvshows' instead of type 'episodes', but at least we will have a clue if that fixes it.

I like the new vertical homescreen. However, is there a way to make the items static instead of spinning? I only have a few items so it ends up looking really weird because they wrap around and I see the same item listed on the top and bottom of the list.

On my old Intel OE box I can run suspend and shutdown from confluence and they do exactly that. With Titan both options freeze my box and I have to go press the case buttons to either reboot or power off

Yes, it should but skinshortcuts is providing those commands, might be a small bug in there ?

To be safe maybe lookup a shortcut and see what's command is and compare it with:

You can see the command if you press "change shortcut" and then "custom action" in the power menu customizer.

 

You can also use this method to execute any command you'd like on the buttons.

OK, I changed things a bit... it will slide down the menu if the rss feed is disabled. Available in next beta.

 

Name of the background movie title is not possible at this moment as the addon doesn't provide the name of the movie belonging to the background shown.

In new beta (v. 3.2.45) you should be able to add program addons (like openelec config) to your shutdown menu

Something is a miss. When I use the skin settings to change the commands to "Kodi" functions suspend and reboot work fine. At least with that change my setup works how I want

Even if you use a skin that doesn't let you edit the shutdown menu you should always be able to find OpenELEC config under programs. In helix you can even launch it from the settings->addons->enabled addons area if you prefer to hide programs from your main menu to keep things tidy
