marcelveldt 736 Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) Hi all, I just pushed another beta update (version .27) out to the beta repo with fixes for some bugs that were discovered by users here and on the kodi forums. - New is the appearance section in the skin settings which will let you customize every single bit of the skin. - Changed is the header in the mediaviews which will now only show the path of the container and not the entire movietitle, also the alignment is changed to match the default theme more. The title is added to all infopanels where it (imo) suits better. If you prefer the movietitle to be displayed in the header, you can enable it again in the appearance settings. Please let me know if you like the changes to the header (I think it's a bit cleaner look now). - Fixed the problem with mediabrowser widgets not remembering preference of content. Also thanks to @@shaefurr for creating the new splashscreen Please test it out and let me know. If no new bugs are found I'll push out update to the stable/official kodi repo. The Weather widget - when moving from a tile that has no widget (so submenu is shown as just the text above the tiles) to the weather tile, the spotlight is shrunk instead of the wide size that is normal for the Weather widget. When you move from a tile that has a widget (like TV shows in the example pic below) it works as expected (wide spotlight image). In this image, I moved the selector from the Settings tile to the Weather tile.

I don't mean boxsets with collection eg. "Movie (Anime)", "Movie (Modern)", "Movie (Classics)" ... Genre for a movie collection lists all genre for all collections. (edit: i have two sections were this works as expected, so what's going on here?) Genre for a series collection lists all movie genres! Genre for a music collection isn't available as a subentry at all. Skin shortcuts to a music collection don't show anything, but it works via Video-Addon -> Mediabrowser. Just reproduced this in my own setup. The list of links that is returned by the addon is wrong, at least for genres. Also "all music" returns empty. It's a mediabrowser addon issue but I will take a look if I can find what's wrong. About your question of adding "people" as possible suboption for every collection, I don't know if this is possible but I'll add it to our list of feature requests, maybe it's an easy change to do. 1

At first start of the addon it starts retrieving all the images in the background. Did the problem resolve itself in a while or are you still missing the images? If you want, can you take a look at your kodi log file if there are any errors regarding image retrieval?

No that's "by design" in Kodi; if no file locations are added in the file manager you're able to browse your entire pc, if a file location is added you can only browse that. Make sure to add extra file locations in the file manegr from kodi. I find that a strange behaviour myself too but it's really a kodi thing...

You windows machine was running fine right ? Please let me know after your re-install and if you still have problems upload your kodi logfile for us to investigate.

Very odd, especially since it worked fine a day or two ago and just started doing this, I haven't changed anything so figured it was something with the update.

I love that it's beautiful and clear while displaying a lot of information. Nonetheless, I've just a question. Isn't there a "Cast" button in the movie or TV show info screen? I've looked for it everywhere and can't find it. Is it possible that it's a bug in the skin? Thanks for your help.

Cast option is replaced with an 'X' button if 'Touch/Mouse Support' is enabled. I can't say I understand the logic behind that, especially noting that I can use the mouse pointer either way and that 'Cast' could be a regular option in the footer menu. But it works again, so thank you very much.
