DS415+ waking up every 3h

Hi,

 

I've got a Synology DS415+ with emby 4.5.2 installed on it.

When Emby is running, it keeps waking up regularly during the day, and the harddrives with it.

It seems to be related with hidden scheduled tasks that i can't deactivate.

using the API, i've seen those tasks:

• Refresh Emby Connect Data every 6 hours
• Refresh Internet Channels every 12 hours
• Send Download Notifications every 3 hours

 

I don't know what the 2 firsts tasks do, can i deactivate those

And I do'nt use downloads with Emby, is there a way to deactivate the task?

 

P.S: i'm using Emby exclusively with Kodi

There's nothing to deactivate. If you don't' use the feature, then it won't do any work.

Hi,

I left Emby running all day, and i heard my Nas waking up every 3 hours.

So i checked the log, and there is nothing in it, just my connect entry.

 

If Emby is not started, my Nas won't wake up.

Please try removing these plugins:

Auto Organize 1.5.6.0
Kodi companion 2.1.9.0

Then restart the server and see if that helps. thanks.

I'm still hearing my Nas waking up

I herad my Nas waking up a 1pm, so using SSH i did a 'find -mmin -120' on Emby Files (i did it at 2h30 pm) and i saw those files:

Emby/data/ScheduledTasks/c2d62f56-5f79-cd56-3efb-ea04a1135a1f.js

Using pscp, i chekecd those files and it's correspondig to :

Hi Luke,

The server woke up 10 minutes ago (19h02) , so i ssh it to see what has changed, see the capture, only files in emby
And still nothing in the log

I think that is the writing in those *.js files that is waking up the server
