Sony TV's - Anamorphic playback of SD content in Emby

Does anyone know if the Emby app running under Android TV on a SONY television generally can playback standard def content that has the anamorphic flag set in the media?

 

I ask because on my Samsung, it simply ignores it and tries to display 4:3 ratio, whereas my LG and Apple TV device and Roku app all correctly honour the anamorphic flag and show the content at 16:9.

on my brand new A85 - with ATV 1.8.54g (running on the TV) and beta server .6

its in 16:9 - full screen and looks the same as when run in PotPlayer

quality not that good but thats the dvd source not emby

Thanks for testing this out.

Was an off-air HD upscale of SD programme (edited down to fit within attachment limit).

Good to know that Sony honour the anamorphic flag, as my Samsungs never did, but my LGs did.
