Unable to tune one channel that works through other app

Hi.  I am running the server on Windows 10.  Live TV works good for nearly all channels.  Using HD Homerun tuners - an older 2 tuner model, and a new Quatro.   One channel will not tune via Emby.  I have tested it via Android, web and Windows clients.  However, I can tune that channel fine when I use the Android "Live TV" app.  Server log attached.

Hi, What channel is the problem channel?

Curious, do you have the issue with both tuners not playing that channel?

What is the best way to test that? Do I have to remove either tuner from the configuration and try it?

You can open the web app in a browser using http://my.hdhomerun.com/

Click on a tuner and you'll get this:

Now Click on Channel Lineup and you'll get a similar screen

If you click on the left icon you can make them a yellow star which is a favorite or a red X.  Anything that's a red X should not import in Emby.

So what you can do is configure so only one tuner has that channel active.  Then reload that tuner in Emby so it pulls the new channel list.

When testing again in Emby you can use the Tuner Status menu in the hdhomerun web app to see what's using the tuners such as:

That will help you very what tuner is being used.

Let me know if this helps,

Carlo

Strangely enough, it has started working.

LOL, don't complain.  If it happens again take note of what tuner gives you the problem and try the above to isolate it.

Note that this can fail.  On my desktop that website says it cannot detect my device - but on the same machine I can connect to it directly and configure it.  But other machines on my network find the device as expected.  I have as yet failed to find out what's different - I guess I need to go network sniffing...

I'd check to see if you're blocking UPnP messages as I believe that's what's used to discover the devices.

UPnP is on (well, network discovery is), and Windows shows the device in the network map.  But that website doesn't see it, in any browser (Opera, Firefox, Edge).

Probably should ask about this over on the SD forums.

Have you rebooted your router lately?

Haha, no complaining here.  Thanks for the support.

(Last reply on the OT subject)  SD forums failed to find an answer; router reboots - several over a year or more!
