video play back will stop in certain seconds when cast to Chromecast with file transcode enable

I'm using NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti for hardware encode/decoding and also using Google Chromecast to cast videos to TV at home.

When playing MPEG2 files on emby with cast enable, chromecast cannot directory play MPEG2 so it always transcoded. When I start play back MPEG2 file, file transcoding will start and then video play back on TV begin. However, video play back stop somewhere between 10~15 seconds and  never resume. I checked system log and confirmed that it seems file transcode succeed but video play back somehow stop at FB1C0E_3.ts or FB1C0E_4.ts.

- I tried to cast video both from iPhone app and Chrome web browser on PC but both have same issue.

- I tried video playback without Chromecast, no issue.

- I  tried video playback with hardware transcode disable and to use software decode and in this case, no issue so this issue may related to hardware transcode handling.

- I tried both 2nd and 3rd gen Chromecast and have same issue.

It is really applicate if you can tell me any solution or workaround to cast MPEG2 videos to Chromecast with hardware transcode enabled.

Thanks,

Let me recall this statement. This issue also happened with software decoding but it won't stop between 10~15 sec but will stop 80~150 sec.

Hi there, can we look at an example of this as well? Thanks.

I was using  "auto" for Chromecast streaming quality setting, however I change it to less than 8Mbps, it works fine. But if I set larger than 10Mbps then issue reproduced.

My Chromecast is connected by ethernet and not using wifi. I don't believe this is caused by my network quality...

Anyway, I have workaround now so I can close this topic.
