Rick412 2 Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Hi, VERY new to Emby. I got a new Sony/Android TV. Have installed Kodi (I've been a Kodi user on PC for a while). Installed Emby for Kodi. Installed Emby server on my PC where my media is. The library shows on Kodi just fine BUT when I delete a file from the PC the deletion does not propogate to the Kodi library (i.e the file will still show in Kodi even though the media no longer shows on the Emby server). So, I expect this is a Kodi problem. I see other people have had this issue but I don't see a solution. Emby for Kodi reports that it is up to date (no updates). Anything else I can share that would help fix this? It's kind of driving me crazy. Thanks!

quickmic 1703 Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 @Rick412 I put it on the todo list and come back to you.
Rick412 2 Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 OK. Thanks for the advice. I can confirm that deleting directly in the Emby server does not solve the problem. Any other thoughts?
quickmic 1703 Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Can you tell what kind of media? TVShow, episode, movie, musicvideo
Rick412 2 Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 Definitely movies. I don't usually delete TV Show episodes so I can't confirm that at the moment. I can try to experiment with it later today. But definitely with movies.
Rick412 2 Posted December 1, 2020 Author Posted December 1, 2020 I have also confirmed that TV Shows exhibit the same behavior - delete them on the server and the changes do not propagate to Emby for Kodi. 1
horstepipe 422 Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Do you have the Kodi Companion server plugin installed?
Rick412 2 Posted December 8, 2020 Author Posted December 8, 2020 Confirmed! This was the solution. I needed to install the Kodi Companion server plugin. Thank you for your help! 1
