Does the new "subtitle download during playback" feature need any special configuration?

I got the update to Android TV app 1.8.54 stable today. I am most excited about the option to download subtitle during video playback. I just have a few questions regarding it.

1.  Does it require the subtitle plugins to be configured on the server with proper API keys and all?
2. Will it save/overwrite existing subtitles? If yes, is there any way to disable that?

Hi.  It is the exact same function that already was available from the detail page.  It is just made available during playback now.  Does that answer your questions?  You do need to have subtitle downloading configured on the server.

Ok thanks. It would have been great if the subtitle API key could be configured client side, like MrMC does.
