Updating local images

I have images stored with the media files

Ex:

Movie (2020) / Movie (2020) - h264.mkv

                            poster.jpg

                            fanart.jpg

When emby scan the library, it adds the new movie/show with their respective local images. The problem comes when I change a locally stored image Ex: poster.jpg, when emby does a new scan, the image is not refreshed on the library, if I go to edit image I see the new image in this submenu, if I do Refesh Metadata with Replace Image option, the images for the movie are deleted the result is an entry on the library with no images. So there is no way for me to update images on the library, nor automatically with scan nor manually with Replace Image options, the only way I have to change is using the edit images option and looking for images on the provider directly (tmdb, thetvdb), but that defeats the purpose of updating my images at local library level.

If there is something am missing I appreciate any answer.

Hi there, as long as the date modified timestamp of the file changes, then the normal library scan should pick up the changes without any problem.
