swehawk 7 Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Entries in m3u playlists containing the swedish characters å, ä or ö are not recognised by Emby! Those songs are left out in the playlist. However, the same songs are listed correctly in the Music library and plays without any problem. Running Emby server 4.3 on win10 swedish.
swehawk 7 Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 SOLVED! I have been using a software called "Playlist Creator" to generate my .m3u playlists. These are basically textfiles, but are ANSI coded. I converted them to UTF-8 (which is standard when creating textfiles e.g in Notepad) using Notepad++. After a library scan all songs are detected. 1
