Gfpiccolo 4 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 (edited) Hello, i have a problem with my libraries: i added some ANIMEs in my library but i can't have correctly division and can't see correctly the metadata I use thetvdb as metadata db, if I use absolute order, all episodes are in unic folder but metadata doesn't complain. If i use the season separated order, emby create some division folder of the Anime anyone can help me? I would like to have all the episodes in one season/folder with the correct metadata in my specific case, I'm adding Slam Dunkthe anime is a single series, but to be able to see all the metadata correctly, I have to divide it into 4 seasons following the order of thetvdb. how can i use absolute ordering of thetvdb in emby? if i use this order: https://thetvdb.com/series/slam-dunk/seasons/absolute/1 i can see metadata until episode 26 thank you Edited November 16, 2020 by Gfpiccolo
Happy2Play 9782 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Sorry I do not follow. May need a complete breakdown of folder structure and naming scheme. I added series with 100 episodes (1-100.ext) in Season 1 folder, changed Display order to Absolute, Refresh w/replace images. All files display their absolute metadata by number.
Gfpiccolo 4 Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 (edited) someone can help me? all my series have this issue, maybe is wrong library configuration? or my mistakes in naming folder/file? where i can enable the ABSOLUTE order? thank you Edited November 19, 2020 by Gfpiccolo

Gfpiccolo 4 Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 Just now, Luke said: Hi there, have you explored using the metadata editor on the series? ok, found it!! I was watching the medatata of the season and not of the series. my mistake thank you

Gfpiccolo 4 Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 in specials i see only this but i see this episode also in Season 1 :
pwhodges 2012 Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 In the Libraries page of the dashboard, on the Advanced tab, have you set "Display specials within seasons they aired in"? Paul 1
Happy2Play 9782 Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 (edited) @Luke this is a quirk as Specials have specific positions they are in and Absolute sort of breaks that. Technically no Absolute order for Specials. Edited November 19, 2020 by Happy2Play 1

Paul GREAT!!! another issue fixed. now remains only the problem with special, i see only number 1 and not the other 3 edit: I also fixed hokuto no ken's folder for viewing all episodes in ONE folder but even in this one, in the Movies/special Folder, appears only one episode instead of 9. The folder structure is correct Edited November 20, 2020 by Gfpiccolo
Luke 42080 Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 I wonder if all four of the specials got merged together.

Luke 42080 Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Then they were probably merged together.

Luke 42080 Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 When you click into that episode is there a version selection drop down box?

Then, i go to the series option and change the order with ABSOLUTE, in this way, the Movies & Speciale remain blocked with my order, and the season 1 folder with all episoed numbered in absolute order Edited November 24, 2020 by Gfpiccolo
