Where are backdrop images saved?

Hi,

Wonder if anybody can piint me in the right direction? I've just added a number of backdrops to some of my music artists. Does emby save them anywhere? If so, where are they saved?

They would be saved to /metatadata/library/xx/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx folder as people and artist no long have there by name folders.  Any images saved in library artist structure are only used in folder view.  There is no real easy way to find these images beside looking up ids in the api.

If I wanted to install emby on another computer, would I just copy this directory and save in the same place on the new computer? Would emby automatically find these files?

No, not without the database as all of those folders apply to database entries.  So in theory you need the entire programdata folder.  Now the issue becomes will the library pathes change going to this new system.  If so the database gets purged as the paths no longer exist and the image folder gets purged also.

 

I personally have all images in my artist folder then just re-apply them to the artist/albumartist in Emby.
