Edit: Try disabling "Enable Refresh Rate Switching" and/or "Match Video Resolution" in app settings, see if that helps. Edited November 15, 2020 by GrimReaper76
ebr 16184 Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Hi. Can you explain a little more about exactly what you mean? Thanks.

If it’s a darker scene, it appears to play ok. However when its a scene with light it appears to flicker, which is very distracting to watch. What’s interesting is that I haven’t noticed this when watching any of my ripped movies. Any ideas on what could be causing this? 1 hour ago, ebr said: Hi. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Have no idea, but still inclined towards refresh rate on Shield. HDMI handshake maybe? Did you try swapping your cable with another one? Or force transcode that particular file to see if the issue persists?
Luke 42079 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Yea I would suggest trying his suggestions above.
