RRo100 10 Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 (edited) Hello, I have two series in 2 folders with sub-folders per season. Once "The Walking Dead" and "Fear the Walking Dead". The filenames look like this The.Walking.Dead.S07E01.The.day.will. come Fear.the.Walking.Dead.S06E01.Herdentrieb Emby no longer shows the series "The Walking Dead" and somehow mixes up the series. According to Emby, the series "Fear the Walking Dead" already has 10 seasons, but it is actually only 6 seasons, the rest he fills up with "The Walking Dead" episodes. I suspect it is due to the very similar names (one word more) Seems like that since the last update. I am using version 4.6.0.5 beta Does somebody has any idea? There is no season 08,09 etc. on Fear the Walking Dead Edited November 12, 2020 by RRo100
GrimReaper 4740 Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 I have 'em both displaying properly as two separate shows. How does your folder structure look like?

Rename those Staffel to Season 2. Make separate folder for those two shows only and new library just to test it 3. Cut both shows out of your Main library folder, scan, add them back, scan
Luke 42079 Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Staffel should be fine for seasons. What is the parent folder of the walking dead?
Happy2Play 9781 Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 (edited) Without logs when it is hard to say, but you will probably have to remove one series do a library scan, then re-add the series. Not if you save metadata/images with media you will probably have to delete that information within that series. Another work around would be adding the year to the Show name, Fear the Walking Dead (2015) / The Walking Dead (2010) (but testing a small file set, I had no issue with naming above, provider order may be a factor also). Happy2Play 9781 Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 (edited) A quick test of adding Fear of the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead with TMDB as first provider causes ONLY Fear of the Walking Dead to be recognized. I have two entries as I did not have "Automatically merge series that are spread across multiple folders" enabled. So with that option disabled would give you the option to Identify the misidentified Show properly. @Luke TMDB returns as second result 2020-11-12 18:09:31.597 Info App: MovieDbProvider: Finding id for item: The Walking Dead 2020-11-12 18:09:31.597 Info HttpClient: GET https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/tv?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=The+Walking+Dead&language=en Edited November 13, 2020 by Happy2Play
Luke 42079 Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 I would try incorporating the year into the search.
Happy2Play 9781 Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 @RRo100 have you changed the provider order? Yes adding year to Show name returns the correct results as it is the first returned entry. https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/tv?api_key=f6bd687ffa63cd282b6ff2c6877f2669&query=The+Walking+Dead&language=en&first_air_date_year=2010
RRo100 10 Posted November 13, 2020 Author Posted November 13, 2020 The year behind the folder worked great. Thank you very much Rolf 1
