Chromecast selected but not playing

Hi,

So I'm running emby on my raspi (raspbian) on emby's newest version (4.6.0.5).

When trying to stream a movie to my tv using the cast i find the device and i click on it. My device will not change screen however and neither can I click on the play button of any movie.

When i try to, nothing happens at all.

I grabbed a clean raspbian install, and followed these basic steps:

(So no proxy etc, i just want to stream over my local network from the movies i've stored on the raspi to my tv in the same network)

Hi, does your emby server dashboard display the correct local and remote addresses?

Yep it does,

In-Home LAN address is the correct raspi's ipv4 address

Remote WAN address is the correct ip address my home can be reached from

Yes. Well, I did not try any further waiting for a possible action to take suggested by this forum

I could not find any other possible solution to this particular case.

The symptoms suggest that although your mobile device can reach your Chromecast receiver, your Chromecast receiver cannot reach your Emby Server. Does your remote address use https?

Hmm in what way do you mean 'use' ?

I have not setup any form of ssl as far as i know and in the emby dashboard i find my local and remote address with http://, not with https://

So, if it looks for https i would not know how / why / where
