mediaGuy 8 Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 (edited) What's the secret for changing an empty password? I searched the forums which talked about using different browsers. Tried IE, Firefox, Edge and Chrome but all tell me the password is invalid when I try to change it. There is no current password (empty) and no browser shows an entry box for the current (Empty) password. Edited October 25, 2020 by mediaGuy
Luke 42077 Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Hi there, can you please show a screenshot? thanks.
mediaGuy 8 Posted October 30, 2020 Author Posted October 30, 2020 @Luke Here's the screen to try and change the password. There's nowhere to enter the current password (which is empty) and when I try to create one it always gives this error. If I try to change a user password that has a non-empty password, I see an entry box for current password and I can change it without issue.

mediaGuy 8 Posted October 30, 2020 Author Posted October 30, 2020 (edited) I'm using stable (4.5.2) and it happens on both my installs. One is Docker and the other is on Debian Buster. It's my original administer account that was setup without a password. So how do I change it? I did a password reset which worked fine but I still can't change it from empty. Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Can you post a server log. Does the same happen if you create a new user?
