snazy2000 344 Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Do not open the channel plugin before setting up the configuration! Once youve installed the PlayOn Plugin you need to go to the configuration page and you need to enter the IP address of the PC were the PlayOn Server is located (Make sure the PlayOn Server is on the latest version before you run the plugin!) You may need to open a port on your firewall if your using an different pc to access the PlayOn Server (54479) Once you have set the IP make sure the PlayOn Server is turned on and you should be good to go with loading the plugin. 2

coolspot 22 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Just got a chance to try this out tonight and I was happy with the results. Good work and it seemed very seemless. Sometimes I need to play media through playon rather than straight through media center for various reasons, subtitles or some mkv files that have skipping (think this has to do with embedded subtitles in mkv files) and being able to jump right over into snazy's plugin rather than back into the xbox interface make it a great improvement. Thanks for working on this.

No 3rd party AV or Firewalls. Before you can even use snazy2000's Emby PlayOn plugin, you should have a fully working PlayOn setup. The best place to get technical support for that will be the PlayOn community. Thanks !
Anthony Reinking 6 Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 (edited) OK, I have PlayON working well. It functions perfectly from the server it's installed on, and I can access it from my Android phone no problems. I have input the IP of the PlayON server in the Emby plugin, and change the cache key, restarted Emby. When I click on PlayOn in the Emby Dashboard it pulls up 12 icons with no images just blank tiles? If I click on any of them a blank screen pops up...I don't see my PlayON Netflix icon which is already authenticated and functioning. Never mind it is working, there are just no backgrounds on the default Playon screen in Emby icons. I had to drill into the 'Other' PlayON plugin icon to find Netflix, but appears to work just fine.
