Fastforward returns MKV to beginning

Hey Guys,

I am having a problem fastforwarding a tv programme. If I hit fastforward it sends the programe back to the beginning each time.

It is only doing this for the two programmes in this folder. Other programmes and films work fine.

Looked at the logs but they don't mean anything to me.

Any ideas please?

Hi.  Is this item a .ts file?  Did you turn on the direct stream option for .ts files?

Hi, not it is not ebr. It is an MKV. I have rplaced the files again and it seems to be working okay now.

Do I need to change any settings to ensure I don't experience this issue again/

No. I imagine there were bad headers in the file.  A refresh of it in Emby may have also solved it.

If a refresh doesn't work then try remuxing your mkv with mkvtoolnix.  That will recreate the headers.  I've had several mkv's with the same issue and had to remux them to get them to seek.
