Playback screen black (music)

Hey guys,

I´ve got an issue with latest Emby on tvOS 14.0.2. Every time I play an album I´ve got a black background where I can click play / pause und get media info, but the background remains black.

The music is properly tagged and the album view with covers and so on are shown properly in the music / album list.

Anyone any idea?

Thanks,

stefan

Album view looks fine, but once one selected to play, I get a black screen.

I can only swipe down to select info / audio, and play and stop.

Looks like there's another topic about it:

@Luke -- As noted in the other thread you linked to this appears to be a bug in tvOS from what I can gather. I've opened a bug report with Apple but haven't heard back yet.

hey

could you please tell me where you are able to "stop" playback? I'm just trying out playing audio books and don't find a proper way to stop playback, it just pauses and stays as "current playback" in background.

Music apps on this platform don't really have a concept of "stop".

But how to save playback progress of audio books then?

Progress is saved as you play items so that will happen automatically.  However, I don't believe this app can resume them at this time.  We are still using the standard music player on Apple TV for all audio.

Fixed in beta 1.5.0 (0) sacrificing the PIP button, as Apple doesn't allow it to play music.
