elfranko 0 Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 I'm running Emby server on freenas (latest version of the plugin). Using both Roku and an LG TV as a display client. I have a large photo collection, organized into folders & subfolders. Within each subfolder photos have filenames as follows: xx_yyyy.jpg Such as: AA_the_cat.jpg AB_the_dog.jpg CA_the_rabbit.jpg etc Some, not all, of the photos contain various tags, metadata. The embedded tags metadata appears to cause mayhem for Emby. When I view the "title" metadata within emby for the JPG files, some of them show the filename, and some show the embedded tags. Hence the emby "titles" contain a mix of filenames and tags, which results in a chaotic viewing order when displayed by the client (Roku, TV, etc). How do I either: (a) display images sorted by filename, or (b) tell emby server to only use the filename for it's "title" emby metadata? Thanks!
Luke 42083 Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Hi, we don't' currently have a sort by filename, but it's something we plan to add. Thanks for the feedback.
Spaceboy 2573 Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 it was only requested about 5 years ago so hasnt got round to being considered yet 2
