ISP blocks all ports, can i somehow connect remotely?

i have given up on emby a while ago due to the simple fact i cant connect to it remotely because all ports are blocked

 

is it possible to get around it?

Yes but it becomes a bit more complex.  You would need to setup a VPN service that allows you to get an IP and port that are static.

You then basically use this as a tunnel to bypass the restrictions your ISP put in place.

yes i have my own router, but since its 5G connection the provider blocks all ports

Got this to work

 

i was behind double nat. What i did was download zerotier on my emby server pc and on my phone. Connect both networks then i could just connect passing this bullshit all together

That will work perfectly for your own use but get's a bit more complicated if you want to give access to friends.

So if you have friends that want media as well, tell them how to setup their own server with Emby and Zerotier.

You can now even help them or walk them through the steps.
