Hi Guys,

 

I have been using the app on my android and tablet and love it (great work).

 

Is it possible to have the app be able to play the media on the TV as well it's great how it plays on mobile devices but I think it would be even better if it could also be used in conjuction with a TV as well.

I have a little S802 AMLogic Android TV unit that will direct play all my media as it has good hardware acceleration for many formats.  The app works great on the box (will be better once Redshirt is happy and ready to release the updated client with a 10' interface), the box also runs very well with the XBMB3C plugin if you want another option for playback in the Android space, if that's what you mean by TV?

 

Other than that, if you have a DLNA compatible TV you should be able to the select the TV to PlayTo as an option, or as Luke says (though I cannot confirm as I don't have one) a Chromcast does appear to be a good simple plug and play addition to a 'dumb' TV.
