Luke 42078 Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 Again, regarding the specific example. The option is based on season and episode numbers, so looking at this screenshot, it's season 2020 episode 208. Do you already have that in your library?
Tony B. 38 Posted October 16, 2020 Author Posted October 16, 2020 No. It was brand new. Did you see that I mentioned that my entire schedule was empty? I have new stuff like news shows recording daily with the proper episode numbers. Once I applied this fix to record everything and then don't record things already in my library by unchecking the box, go back, recheck the box, go back, they came back to normal. There is also a lot of stale guide data to deal with. Changing the amount of days to cache didn't clean that up. I could try the beta but it's a little early for that right now in the cycle.. If my recording stop again, I will.
Tony B. 38 Posted October 16, 2020 Author Posted October 16, 2020 (edited) cayers.. Please stop diluting that other thread. Within a few steps, I have this issue resolved. When I see a bug, I find ways around it. If you have dealt with Microsoft Server products as long as I have, it becomes a "knack" to be able to find a workaround for bugs. I asked in the beginning of this thread for the person that wanted the logs, nobody wanted them, and now the problem is fixed with no known explanation. Had there been logs provided, there would have been a good chance to address the problem. To fix: Go into the problematic series Uncheck the box for "Don't record......" Go back Go into the same series Check the box Go Back Go into the same series again, and look to see the grey circles have turned to red circles. Done, finished. That was the fix. Carlo 4561 Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 What you don't understand is that I fixed this for you the other night and I went over with you what to do for each series to reset them (we did it with Tucker and another Fox show) as well after the changes were made. I also tried to explain to you that you WILL HAVE ISSUES in other places because your setup is not "optimal". So yes I'm aware of your status and setup and what will now fix the series after I fixed some of the data for you. This is not a mystery to me as I understand what's going on in general on your system Live TV wise. As I showed you with Tucker you need to reset each series which IS what you're doing now. But it's only a partial fix. You should reload everything from scratch and completely match all your channels first for optimal setup and to get rid of other issues. Perfect time to remove all your duplicate channels as well choosing only the best channel to load in Emby. You have a WALL UP that you won't let down to understand this is/was DATA INDUCED. Notice I didn't say USER INDUCED but DATA because this can happen with the setup the way it WAS EVEN if you haven't changed a thing in a year (but you have). If you reloaded from scratch the way it is now it will be clean without the remnants from before. You can test this quickly on a portable install. I get the fact you think you can just load whatever tuners and data you want and it should just work, but that's not reality and not going to work well for you if you embrace that standpoint. I'm saying this as a fellow user who has not 5 hours of setup in Live TV but more like 500 to a thousand hours invested in this alone personally. Add a few more more hours (hundred) to this comparing present Live TV to the new Live TV in development and I assure you, I know your issues. What your doing setup wise is not going to work well for you overall or in the apps. I guarantee if you proceed doing it "your way" you'll have grief at times. If you clean things up and reload your life and Emby Live TV will get much easier and work. I'll leave you with a thought. When thousands on thousands of other users are using the same software and only one person is having specific issues, it's normally a setup issue of the one person. When a support person logs into your system and tells you upfront you'll have issues with that configuration without even looking at logs it's even more obvious you will have issues. So with that said, I'll bail on your threads as requested, unless specifically asked to do something concerning Live TV. If/when you come to the conclusion it's better to fix things properly and invest another hour or two in your setup to make things work properly let me know. I'll be there to help you with a fresh starting point. We're here to help you, but at some point you have to except we understand how things work in Emby and what will help you. Best regards, Carlo
