I can't select items for the recordings widget.

Not for Recordings: TV Shows and not for Recordings: Movies.

Using EXPERIMENTAL VERSION 6.0.6 build 45 (ex6) now

Checked this morning, my fireTV had been in standby for approx 48h. Everything including this mornings tmm metadata update was still in sync. Looking rock solid to me

I'll check it, currently I'm fixing a few issues in the nodes, and implement some improvements...

6.0.6 build 74 (ex8)

delta changelog:

- fix cast tvshows
- fix music progress for native content
- mixed content libs -> added music support
- podcasts syncable (no realtime updates available, on sync on Kodi restart -> seems to be a Emby server limitation)
- some nodes fixes
- music sync is now working even if artist info not available
- removed local trailers from library sync options (even technically possible, makes no sense to me). Anyway, still available via info screen as it should be.

Comments:
database resync is mandatory -> will be automatically initiated
due to music sync content modifications, no performance measurements are performed yet. I hope, it has no impact.

There is a minor bug in this version, podcasts not offered as syncable content. Will be fixed in next version.

Tested it right away. It is working, but again, I can not use "i" to open the information page. I have to use the context menue to get to the information page. 

Pressing "i" is working with movies though, but not with tv series

That is absolutely correct.
You can do it via the context menu. 
Unfortunately not via "i".
And really only for the series or TV shows.

@all Let me know if you experience any major flaws. Currently I try to stabilize this version to become beta... Beta version will be tagged as 6.0.7 (x)....

Unfortunately first episode I just watched again delete after watch wasn't offered again. Rebooted Shield, hope it will be offered after the next episode. 

I will keep you posted.

@quickmicI finally decided to move up to the 6.x.x experimental builds. Right off the bat, I'm seeing multiple issues with the sync between E4K and the Emby server. Others have reported about most of them earlier in the thread, and from your comments I think you're working to address the issues. But one thing I'm seeing that others haven't posted about yet (or at least I don't think they have) is that playback progress in the Emby server (Beta 4.7.0.9 Synology) is reported as finished two minutes (approx.) before playback in E4K stops. Sometimes a second playback session will be reported on the Emby server for the final two minutes of playback. But not always.

The attached logs from Kodi and Emby capture this behavior for a couple of TV show episodes (Urban Myths) I streamed earlier tonight.

The kodi.log doesn't show anything. I mean it doesn't even show that you trying playing the video.

Is it the correct logfile? Please try with default skin.

Still the same issue, I thought this was fixed. I'll send you a debug version. Please confirm that you are using the latest experimental version.

btw, not sure what other issues you referancing.

The one from the log is a Kodi 18 unicode sync issue. Other issues (beside a  very specific subtitle problem and EPG issue) I've nothing on my list. Did I miss something?

I don't know if it matters but the episode where delete wasn't offered was o e I watched and paused halfway the night before.

Looks like collections aren't updating. I've added some movies that's a part of a newly created collection (Emby auto creation). The new collection isn't added to kodi, in addition I have kodi set to display individual movies as part of a Box set but this isn't done as well. I've restarted kodi and no changes.

Boxsets/Collections are not synced automatically. There is a option "refresh boxsets" under manage libraries.

Not sure if autosync is possible, as far as I know this never the case. Even in 4.x

Is it possible to get it on your "to investigate" list? Would be really nice to have it synced as well.

I just checked, it should be synced on Kodi restart, but not via Realtime sync. Can you confirm that?

Is it right, that the Emby server doesn't report Boxset changes via websocket msgs? I performed a test, that's what I received:

Yesterday I had a new collection created on the Emby server, today I've restarted the kodi client several times and the collection did not update/sync.

I then triggered the Boxset sync as you advised, Box sets updated and at the end of the update it reloaded the skin - I assume that's a part of the script. The collection was updated on the client and the movie library changed and instead of displaying different titles they were merged into the Movie boxset.

 

One note: I have two movie libraries on my server (regular & for kids). The Emby user I use on my kodi client only has access to one of them, the collection synced from server to client respects this but if it affects the automatic update at kodi restart I don't know.
