pingywon 0 Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 (edited) I searched... surprised I couldnt find an answer honestly...so here i am. I have OpenMediaVault running on a RPi4. I also have Emby running in a Docker container. I have a "select set of sensitive type videos" mounted to a non-browsable /non-broadcast share point via SMB. There are permissions and such keep anyone from getting in even if they happen to directly hit the \\my.ip\secretshare The issue is that Emby can't see it... I assume because it is not browsable? Anyway to get this library added into emby from a non-browsable share point? TIA Edited October 8, 2020 by pingywon
Solution Luke 42081 Posted October 8, 2020 Solution Posted October 8, 2020 Hi, try mounting the windows share path to a local path using the tools in your operating system. Then you should be able to add that local path into Emby Server. Please let us know if this helps. thanks ! 1
pingywon 0 Posted October 8, 2020 Author Posted October 8, 2020 Hey Luke! What i ended up doing was just creating a host volume for the docker container that is running Emby. This seems to work well for my need. thank you
