hi,

a couple of days ago i got an error message saying "unhandled exception, one or more errors occurred", followed by complete shut down of MBS. restarting MBS gives the same

restarting the PC fixed it and as i am on the dev update channel i ignored it. but its come back and on a fresh restart of my pc. I can't give any more detail because no more is available. what can i do or what info can i provide to help diagnose please?

cheers

You should post the server log as well.

Also, try reinstalling MB3 beta and let it upgrade to dev.

so, change the install level to beta, let it reinstall then move it back out to dev again?

i see its still looking in the old place for the IBN folder. but MB3 shows it know where it is supposed to be

No, download the beta install from the mb3 website and install.

MBS will do the rest.

Not saying it'll fix it, but it's worth a try.

uninstall first or install the beta over the dev?

uninstall first or install the beta over the dev?

Over dev.

Stop MBS first though.

Do you have MBPLUS installed?

I saw that - we posted at the same time :)

I only mentioned MBPLUS as that's in the unhandled exception log.

Hopefully Luke or @@ebr can look at it.

I think the OOM that is finally bringing the server down is just the last gasp.  The log is filled with network and other IO errors before that.  Looks like we can't access your media locations or the network.

First thing I'd do is back up to the stable release of the server since you are on the Dev one.  Before you do that, uninstall Auto Box sets because the version you have won't work properly with the older server.  You can re-install it after you downgrade the server.

Then see if you still have the issue.  If not, we know it is something related to the dev channel.

but see above, MB is looking in the wrong place for the IBN folder even though it "knows" where it is.

i will try your instructions though. i'm happy to nuke it all and rebuild as its only really available to the beta testers in my household (i.e. me ;o))

hi, so i'm on the stable release and still getting the same problems. so, the back story, i moved all my media and the ibn folder to my new nas. i did change all the library folders as they were also consolidated and changed the location of the ibn folder. it seems to have access and i have played media through mbc since the move so it partly works. but i'm still getting the parameter is incorrect errors all the time.

what could i try next?

cheers

Just stick a @ symbol in front of a user's ID.

Cheers. Hi @@ebr I went back to the stable version and still no go. Is there anything else I could try?
