Autofocus 3 Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 The Live TV guide displays differently on different model Samsungs. For example on a 65" UN65KS8000 (2016), the top entry of live TV guide data is cut off, as well as the last entry. So what gets displays is a half a line on top, 5 full lines, and a half a line at the bottom. Then, on a 65" UN65MU8000 (2017), the top entry is full but the last one is cut off. So it's 6 full lines, and a half line at the bottom. On both TVs, there is a good chunk of unused space a below the list that could be used to show 2 or 3 more lines of guide data (or optionally the same number of rows in a larger easier to read font). Both TVs are running the latest Samsung firmware and Emby for Samsung 1.085. Let me know if additional information is needed. Thanks.
Luke 42078 Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 Hi there, can you show a screenshot or picture? Thanks.
Autofocus 3 Posted October 5, 2020 Author Posted October 5, 2020 Of course. The first pic is the 65" UN65KS8000 (2016): The second is the 65" UN65MU8000 (2017): Interestingly in the first pic the three dots are under the date which is "October 4, 2020" and in the second pic it's to the right of the date which is "Sun, Oct 4" - text wrapping in the cell? Thanks Luke
Luke 42078 Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Ok that's just the way it scrolls. You can still press up and down to get to those rows, right?
Autofocus 3 Posted October 5, 2020 Author Posted October 5, 2020 I can, but in the first example the first row of the guide is always cut off, so even though you can select it, the actual channel name and guide data is unreadable. In other words the guide data of the topmost entry is effectively lost.
Luke 42078 Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Ok yes that's an issue we'll need to look at. Thanks for reporting.
Dickydodah! 154 Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Hi, this also happens on a UE43KU6510 but not on a UE32M5500. The issue has been there since 1.0.77. I'm now running 1.0.85
Dickydodah! 154 Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 The common thing seems to be the year. The 2016 models seem to have this bug. It would be interesting to see if it occurs in 2015 models. The details of model numbers can be looked up here; https://en.tab-tv.com/?page_id=7123
