Bug to m3u8 inside strm - Library Music

Hello yesterday I was doing a small Radio library in music library. and I ran into some errors.

i am running Emby Server in - Windows 10 Pro Ver: 2004

online radio sources:

-  Tunein - ( these links do not contain m3u8 file )

Hits 97.3.strm

Easy 93.1.strm

( this is an example. actually I have more links. )

-  iHeartRadio - ( this link has m3u8 file. )

Big 105.9.strm

When I started testing on my different devices I found some errors.

 

•  Android Phone Ver: 10 - Emby Ver: 3.1.23

- With ( Tunein ) links. It is possible to play and the sound is heard. But it gets stuck on the loading icon even when browsing any menu. Also it does not show the playback screen, as when it does playing with a native mp3 file.

Only stop player this way

 

- With ( iHeartRadio ) link. I can't hear the sound. Also the loading icon gets stuck. and finally the phone freezes with the loading icon and does not let me do anything else.

 

• Ipad ios Ver: 13.7 - Emby Ver: 1.9.8

- With  ( Tunein ) & ( iHeartRadio ) links. I have exactly the same problems as with android phone.

 

• Samsung TV UN55KS8500  - Emby Ver: 1.0.77

- With ( Tunein ) links. It works perfect. It even displays the playback screen correctly without any issues.

- With ( iHeartRadio ) link. Displays the playback screen correctly. (What it does not do on Android ios or Ipad ios). But it is unable to play with a link containing m3u8.

• Windows 10 Pro Ver: 2004 - Emby Web Media

- With ( Tunein ) links. It works perfect. It even displays the playback screen correctly without any issues.

- With ( iHeartRadio ) link. Does not display the playback screen. and can't play with a link that content m3u8.

• Windows 10 Pro Ver: 2004 - Emby Theater Ver: 3.0.11

- With ( Tunein ) links. It works perfect. It even displays the playback screen correctly without any issues.

- With ( iHeartRadio ) link. It works perfect. It even displays the playback screen correctly without any issues.

 

(Note) from what I can see Emby Theater is the only player that does everything right. I would like in the future that everyone could do the same, especially with m3u8 containers. These tests were done only on my devices.

Sorry for the delay, I'm new to this and have a hard time associating myself with the Emby stuff. Thanks.

(Note) on the samsung TV playback also fails but does not show me the ffmpeg log. Also in Emby Web Media playback fails but does not show me a ffmpeg log. Thank you
