For reasons that I wont go into here, I had to perform a 'Hard' factory reset on my Sony A8F (Android) TV. After reinstalling Emby, I am unable to 'Restore Unlock'. If I go into settings, it shows Version 1.8.37g Expired. Initially it was showing as 1.8.36 Expired but almost immediately, within a couple of minutes of installing 1.1.36, it updated to 1.8.37. As a result, I am unable to play any movies. (Prior to doing the system reset it was all working perfectly.) I purchased the individual unlock code for the TV on 19 July 2018. I'm assuming it was a life time license and something has gone wrong somewhere. When I first installed emby and attempted to 'Restore Unlock', I was accidently logged into my own google account. (The original unlock was purchased via my wife's account). I deleted the app and logged into her account and re-downloaded/installed it. Same issue. Not sure if this has caused the problem? I've tried rebooting the TV and reinstalling but again no luck? I'm not sure what it verifies against to determine the unlock eligibility? I'm assuming its the account the purchase was made from? Any assistance would be appreciated. (I did a bit of forum searching prior to posting this, but I could only find references to people reporting the problem when that had not actually purchased the unlock.) I'm assuming its the account the purchase was made from? Yes, that's correct. You are positive you are logged into the proper account on the device at the time? What exact message do you get when you try the restore?

What exact message do you get when you try the restore? I am certain I am logged into the correct account on the TV. The message I get is ''Unlock is not Purchased". I haven't attempted to purchase it again to see what happens, and what account it attempts to access for payment, as I'm not sure if there will be a second screen to confirm the purchase so I can cancel. First time I've ever had to restore a purchase via Google. Further update on this issue. I just uninstalled the app again and reinstalled it. This time it installed version 1.8.28 I attempted to 'Restore Unlock' and this time it worked. Once unlocked it showed there was an update and I updated it successfully to 1.8.37 Registered. I have no idea why it worked this time and not the 7 or 8 times I attempted this last night. The only difference I can see is that it installed 1.8.28 initially this morning, and last night it installed 1.8.36? Maybe Google was having problems with their servers, or it was something to do with us changing to daylight saving time last night, (Australia). PS. I'd love to upgrade to Premiere, but unfortunately the low Australian dollar makes it a bit expensive at the moment in the current environment. Maybe in the future when things get better.
