Notifications question

All,

I've setup notifications as follows. My user is selected and there are no services listed.

Does this mean that if a new mp3 gets added to a new 'audio book' library that I should see a notification in the top right of the screen? I'm trying to work out if a) I've misunderstood the purpose of this feature or b) I've done something wrong in the setup and need to investigate.

The wiki is outdated, there is no notification bubble in the top right anymore.  @cayars  But It would be nice to have the original internal notification service come back.

Notifications, as the images with the bubble indicator are currently obsolete.

Actually the whole built in obsolete.

I just looked at that page and didn't see the word "bubble" even though it was there smack in the middle of two pics showing the bubble notification.

I think I need a break.  I'll get this updated soon and run through it as well.

As @Happy2Play suggested it was the Wiki that I got the information from.

I agree with this. It would be a useful feature. Is there a plugin that provides this functionality? I looked through the list and there didn't seem to be. I wondered if the original function had been removed and replaced by a plugin and I missed the plugin? I don't need an email notification or link to another notification system, only to see what's new when I log into Emby.

Not that I am aware of, only external notifications.  Beside the Admin Dashboard.
