End Date Metadata

Have something strange happening. Several TV shows have "Ended" but no end date to show in the description. I went thru and added end dates but a week later the end dates are cleared out. Happened twice. Even tried setting one to Lock and still changed back. Any suggestions?

Hi there, can you please go over an example? Thanks.

Sorry, I missed the notice anyone had responded.

In TV Shows, I have some that are ongoing. They are correctly marked as date - Present (see emby1.jpg). Some have ended and listed as start date - end date (see emby1.jpg) and some have the start date defined in the metadata but no end date (Rawhide in emby1.jpg).

So, I wen into the Edit Metadata in Emby and added the End date and clicked Save. Did this for every TV show I have. A few weeks later I noticed many of the ones I entered had cleared out the end date field to blank. Several I even tried the "Lock this item to prevent changes" and they still got wiped. Some still have the correct start and end datess but I don't know if any of them are the ones I manually reset, I didn't think it was important to keep a list of what changes I made.

I have not tried to force them to change but can if you you don't have any other ideas. I have done no Metadata refreshes other than restarting the computer and emby server with updates.

Thanks

Hi, do you have nfo files in your media folders? Sounds like something updated the nfo files and Emby Server simply reacted to the changes.

You are correct. I looked at the examples I posted and some of the series.xml files had updated. Thanks.
