System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/volume1/Emby/plugins/MovieDb.dll' is denied. then I need to give Permissions to whitch user emby or embysrv or other system users

Robert_84 4 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 (edited) Sorry but I cant install 4.5.1 over 4.6.1, Synology is not allowing it. Edited September 30, 2020 by Robert_84
Robert_84 4 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 if it is new version why not name it with the higher number?
Luke 42077 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 4.5.1 is greater than 4.5.0. I didn't realize you're on the beta server.
Robert_84 4 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 no worry I posted a many posts, hard to track everything.
alucryd 315 Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 The embysvr user should have been deleted when you upgraded to our new package. In any case you can get rid of it now. As for the permissions, they should be corrected by reinstalling the latest beta, please try that and please don't modify the permissions of the Emby shared folder.
Robert_84 4 Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 hi, svr is already deleted, and im already on 4.6.0.2 but the proble mis not resolved. also if I do not add ready/write permissions to the Emby 10TB folder I cant watch the movies. Becasue they are in that folder. However how "Allow" permissions to read something can affect something like this.
Luke 42077 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 If you reinstall 4.6.0.2 from the website on top of your existing installation, does that help?
Robert_84 4 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 hi, I already have the lastest beta release, I do not believe new reinstallation will resolve the problem, but Ill try
Luke 42077 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 We have made some adjustments to the package, can you please give it a try? thanks.
Robert_84 4 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 I did, it is "reimporting" entire folder.... ill let you know the result... I seen now the www is also better organized ...
Luke 42077 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Great, let us know how you get on. Thanks.
