With Windows Emby Server 4.5.0.50, Latest Media now only displays Media from the year 2020. New Media added from any other year is now not displayed.

Hi there, we didn't change anything related to this. Can you please go over an example? Thanks.

What is "Date added behavior for new content:" set to?  Dashboard-Library, Advanced tab

Hi, it's set to "Use file creation date". I did not change this.

What's weird is that after Latest Movies grabbed all 2020 films early this morning, whereas tonight I added a new film from the 60s and it is showing correctly under Lastest Movies!?

Thanks

This is the default, that means it is based on the file creation dates of your media files. have you compared them across your files?

Yes I did. Last Movies is not "maintaining" the display of newest files first. This morning I noticed that files I added new last night disappeared from Latest Movies display on the Home screen. Again ony films from the year 2020 are displayed as Latest Movies. The movies I added last night of course are still there but are displayed as Latest Movies?!

New file dated 9/24/20 is not displayed, however file dated 8/13/20 is displayed.

I did not make any changes to the configuration. Any thoughts?

Have you used the metadata editor to check the date added values of those titles in emby!

Have you explored your emby user preferences that will impact what content shows up in latest lists?

Under Library/Advanced, the date added behavior for new content is set to "Use file creation date".   For a recently added (last night - year of the film is1958) file, the metadata date within the file is 9/24/20. However the film is not displayed under Latest Movies.

Ok, I think the problem is Time Lord for Movies. I've uninstalled it, and will restart and rerun all tasks, then add a film and rerun tasks again to see if it preserves the film under Latest Movies.

Yes as the plugin applies the Premieredate to Dateadded (database level).

Of course if you use Timelord you're changing the date as that's the purpose of the plugin. :)
