Date added problems

I've search topics and can't figure out my issue.  I have updated settings so that "Date added behavoir for new content = "Use date scanned into the library".  But my new media rarely shows up in Latest Movies or Latest TV Shows.  I then go to the metadata and change the "Date Added" and it shows up in Latest ....  I don't know how the apps handle metadata differently, but PLEX seems to get the latest additions right ??

Example - added a movie, Death at a Funeral which was found by scan of media library.

Added 9/22/2020 - the date on my unraid server is correct.

Metadata for date added in Emby = 8/9/2017

File attribute, Date modified = 8/9/2017

So emby is using the file date regardless of my setting in "Date added behavoir" ???

I thought emby created the nfo.  This movie never existed in the library before.

Ok, try adding something new now that you've changed the setting. Once you change the setting, it applies to new content added after that.
