carguyshu 0 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I just tried loading MB classic and it just keeps going through the load screen with the dots. It just keeps repeating this and never loads. I just downloaded and installed the newest release version of the server and the newest release version of mb classic. I even tried downloading and installing the newest beta version of MB classic. Any ideas on what this might be? It had this problem before I downloaded the newest version, btw, its just that the newest did not fix anything.
Logos302 86 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 try running the confiscator, and seeing if it can find the server. Also uploading the mbc log and mbs logs will also help with this.

The problem is with MB classic. ebr 16169 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Update MBC. You are on an old version. Since you can't start it, just re-install it from the web site.

It said version 3.0.195.0 when it was downloading. I choose the release version rather than the beta. carguyshu 0 Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 it is set to 'present user login page' & whenver I try and switch it to 'automatically login as' and then click validate and save it says incorrect password for user. I don't even see where I can enter a password.

carguyshu 0 Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 I only have one name and it is a series of spaces so that when the screen shows up it just says Welcome Back with no name underneath. When I add another user and select to automatically login as that user it now works, but none of my settings from MBC are the same. I am guessing it has something to do with only having spaces and no letters. This had worked fine before, but maybe an update caused it to no longer work this way.
ebr 16169 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Yeah, that's an odd setup. The server has apparently changed such that it cannot validate a user with spaces as the name. @@Luke are we trimming user names before authenticating them now?
carguyshu 0 Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 I also tried setting up a new username with just spaces on the server and when i try to select it from the drop down on MBC confiurator it also comes up with the password incorrect. It won't let me alter the original all space profile name on the server it just brings up that the file is being used by another process and I can't save. I guess I'll just have to resetup under a new username.

nightowl23 0 Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 This may be a related problem: I'm updated with last official. I start the MB Server with windows 7 boot. Activate WMC after the pc has finished booting. Push the Media Browser 3 link on the WMC list and it takes an average of about 80 seconds to load the splash screen. Everything works great after that. Waiting an extra minute or so not such a big deal, just annoying.
