If I wanted to set up my IP cameras using STRM files, what content type should I use?

Thanks

Hi, instead of doing that, why not use the IPTV plugin and input the specific URL of the camera in that.

This is what a lot of us do.

I tried that and it works perfectly!

Nice,

Don't forget about access rights you can give/revoke to the plugin so you can control what users if any you want to have access to your cameras!

Got it. Thanks for the advice.

I have strm files for ip cameras in a movie library, which works fine for me.

Thanks Paul. I had already tried that and it took 10-15 seconds to get a picture. When I used IPTV, it was down to 5 seconds to show an image.

Different pipeline is used in IPTV which is why I recommended this.  Been there done this before. :)

Yes, I'd noticed the difference in speed.  It didn't matter to me (I'm monitoring the temperature of a pottery kiln), and it just happens to suit me better to have it in an existing library.
