as2002 3 Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 All, I'm new to Emby so this is probably user error. I start listening to a MP3 podcast and stop it part way through. I then go back to my home page but there is no continue watching section. Under settings > Home screen > Home screen section 2 is set to "Continue watching". Would someone mind advising what I'm doing wrong or which settings I need to check? Thanks
vdatanet 1617 Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 In library settings, check your resume playback settings, remember to enable advanced settings.
as2002 3 Posted September 16, 2020 Author Posted September 16, 2020 (edited) Thanks for your help. I have min resume percentage set to 5% and max set to 90%. I stopped the mp3 at 33 minutes. The file is 41 minutes so it should be within those limits (around 75%)? The max resume setting is set to 180 seconds. Edited September 16, 2020 by as2002 Added max resume setting
vdatanet 1617 Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Yes, it should be within those limits and item should appear in the "Continue watching" section. If you click that item in the library, can you resume it?
as2002 3 Posted September 16, 2020 Author Posted September 16, 2020 Thanks. No I can't. I only get the option to play and then it starts from the beginning.

vdatanet 1617 Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Is it a music library? Music libraries don't have those settings.

This library is set to mixed content. Is that the cause of the problem? Is there a list of the features of each content type? I searched but didn't find one. 20 minutes ago, vdatanet said: Is it happening in a particular file or is it common in all files? I will do some more testing and update the thread. Luke 42085 Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 To resume audio files you'll need to use the audio books content type.
