How do you delete recordings?

I can't find a way on the client or the server to delete recordings.  I recorded a movie (showing on live tv) and the recording went into the recorded series directory (I would have expected it to go either to the the default recorded path). But I cannot see any way to delete it.

Are you the admin of this installation ?

If not, then you need to ask the admin to give you permission to delete the recordings save in this area.  You will then get the option to delete.

The TV series folder has also likely been set, which is why they are being recorded into this folder and not the default Recording folder.

Ahh!  I see I had to give myself those permissions!     Now I am able to delete things.

Yes, the TV Series folder is set.  So how does Emby decide when you press the "Record" button that what you are recording is a series.  I figured the only things that would go into the recorded series folder would be be those that I clicked the "Record Series" button and everything else would go into the default folder.  What does go into the default folder?

Hi.  The guide data determines if something is a part of a series.  Even if you only record individual episodes, they are still a part of a series.
