Hey guys so, I have seen a few posts about this, but, I am really struggling with this library, both music videos and music

Now, My music collection is big, but, flawlessly tagged across the board, yet, no matter what I do, multiple artist entries etc, with albums spread across each, when you correct everything in the metadata, they stay! I saw something about a musicbrainz issue, so, my library is set (allegedly) not to use that, but, lo and behold, it still does. Why can I not get this simply to pull the artwork and tags from the files? 

Similar with music videos, they just exist. Cant seem to do anything with them, and, they are never found as far as metadata goes. Dont mind too much on this although it would be nice to have them in the same place, so you could choose an album or a music video, but, the music library is a bit of a joke that I need to get sorted out

Album artist graphics right now are always pulled from online.

As for the music videos

Go to the plugin catalog and add IMVDb to your system (will require a restart.  If you've not loaded plugins before check out this knowledge base article: https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001162214-plugins-overview

After the restart try creating a new music library just for the videos.  Use the format /Artist/Video file

make sure this library uses the new plugin you just installed.  For videos that don't match you can go to https://imvdb.com/ to see if it's present and if so copy the naming so it will match on your system.

I can give you an example. I have a boatload of mp3 files from a jazz artist named Don Ellis. I have them all tagged with "Don Ellis" as the artist and album artist, because that's the way I want it, even though some of the albums were release under Don Ellis Orchestra. Every file also has an album name assigned, maybe 25 albums. When browsing the music library using the Emby web interface, I find that 3 of these albums show up under the album artist Don Ellis Orchestra. If I use the interface to edit one of these tracks, indeed, it shows Don Ellis Orchestra as artist and album artist, even though the mp3 file has Don Ellis in both of these tags. I use the metadata editor to change the album artist to Don Ellis, and click save, but when I reopen it, it still says Don Ellis Orchestra. Album.nfo has what I want - just Don Ellis - for AlbumArtist and Artist, but it doesn't show up that way in the GUI. I have all fetchers turned off in the settings for this library.

Yes, thanks. I had initially glossed over that article because it appeared to just deal with album art, which I don't care about (for the moment). But your post got me to go back and reread, which got some juices flowing. I did some more searching, and found this, which describes my problem and gives me some things to try:
