Next PVR Plugin

I have NextPVR working fine in the native webui and with the kodi addon. However I can't seem to get anything to play within emby webui or theater.

There's not many settings to change so no clue what's going on...

Do you need anything other than the log? I just disabled my firewall on my server and same result.

There's lot of errors coming from the next pvr plugin trying to communicate with next pvr so it looks like you need to configure the plugin.

What kind of tuner do you have?

Well I have tried with the IP set to 127.0.0.1 and the actual IP, both gave no playback. Emby is local to NextPVR.

It's an m3u list. I need native access and control in kodi clients so native Emby was a no go.

I'm not a next pvr expert, but judging from the log it looks like either the next pvr software is not running or the address is not correct.

It may look that way but the native NextPVR webui works perfectly and the Kodi addon for NextPVR also plays back perfectly. I change the IP back to actual and attached a new log.

I am seeing errors elsewhere in kodi. So this may be NextPVR's issue.

Some general suggestions. You need to match NextPVR versions with its Emby plugin, so NPVR v4 goes with the Emby NPVR v4 plugin, which is the one in the plugins catalog. V5 NPVR goes with the other plugin, which is numbered v3.6.0.0, hopefully found here -

to match the one on your dasboard home page, apart from the 8866 / 8096 bit.

OK fixed issues on my end and upgraded to the newer v5 compatible plugin. Still no joy.

You've done a few basics I guess like restarting Emby server and telling it to refresh the guide and whatever else you can think of ? Sorry to ask, but never know...

In the dashboard, scroll down the options on the left to get too Scheduled Tasks and its at the bottom of that option.

It might be possible that if you can't get it to update in Emby in Scheduled Tasks you'll just have to hope it appears at some point (though it shouldn't be like that, so hopefully not).

With the older version of the plugin that was available in the catalog the guide seemed to work, however with this newer plugin the guide doesn't work at all.

You are using v5 of NextPVR ?

Yes everything about NextPVR natively works just fine.

And in NextPVR you haven't changed the Pin and its set to allow remote access (which is probably the default anyway) ?

Well that is also setup with a pin in Kodi with the PVR addon and it works perfectly.

Sorry, but can't think of anything else. Don't know if @emveepee or someone else might have any other ideas.

It might be some kind of firewall thing, except you tried that, or if you do any of that fancy proxy stuff, which is all beyond me anyway.

But don't give up just yet, hopefully its something simple somewhere...
