GregMo 24 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I have a show that has several episodes that are (Part 1) and (Part 2). The titles on IMDb have the exact text, "Part 1" and "Part 2". Why is it that the parentheses are keeping these from being scraped correctly? While on the subject, is there a place to go to see what shows are missing episodes and which episodes are missing?
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 As you have not given any details i will give you a general couple of answers 1. probably becasue of file stacking using part1 etc - see Emby Knowledge base on movie naming Oh and IMDb is not used by emby as it uses TMDB 2. no - but you can turn on show missing episodes so they appear alongside the existing ones
GregMo 24 Posted September 13, 2020 Author Posted September 13, 2020 Here's an example: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/155-3rd-rock-from-the-sun/season/6?language=en-US Everywhere except for TMDB the two part episodes of this season are named "part 1" and "part 2".
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 so conform to the tmdb naming and you will be fine
GregMo 24 Posted September 13, 2020 Author Posted September 13, 2020 12 minutes ago, Luke said: How did you name the episode files? The issue is, apparently, using the "part" keyword that the scrapper looks for, AND having two episodes named exactly the same except for the part number. When I removed the "part" keyword they're picked up fine. It's something that can be lived with, but a little frustrating. What is really bothersome, though, is when you have a two part show as one file. Even though you have the whole thing, the statistic plugin thinks you're missing an episode. If I get enough free time one day down the road, I swear I'm gonna code my own site to be scraped so I can fix issues like this, lol. Will probably never happen, but would be a fun task if I can ever find the time.
Luke 42093 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 That's why I asked for an example file name. Ultimately they should have different episode numbers and that takes care of it.
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 "...the statistic plugin thinks..." thats a community plugin so go to its thread in plugin forum and ask if they can adjust it or rename the files correctly and your issue goes away
